The California Highway Patrol has issued a press release”Safety Is A Two-Way Street“. The Highway Patrol is encouraging cycling and also alerting cyclists and motorists to new rules of the road.
Bicycle collisions have declined, perhaps due to new laws providing that motorists can only pass cyclists with a three foot gap. New rules also require cyclists to pull over and let motorists pass when five or more vehicles are slowed.
When riders are injured, the attorneys at Crash-Law can assist by proving fault against an offending motorist who often times blame the bicyclist. Our attorneys also help provide assistance in obtaining/coordinating needed medical care. Our goal is to help our clients obtain just compensation for their injuries, lost wages, and damage to equipment and gear.
